I am so happy today that I passed my Skills and Written Test for Certified Nursing Aide. Thanks you Lord ! I can't wait when I get my result from the Examenier, I was so happy and get out the door and  called my husband, my Teacher, my classmates and few of the friends who knows that I'm taking CNA class. I been waiting for of passing this test finally it's done, Thanks God. Now were going to Isle Capri to celebrate and eat my favorite meals there to have a crab legs, yahoooo...

My best friend is moving to town! She just got out of a long relationship, and it was a rather messy ending. They lived together, so part of the breaking up process was moving out. It’s been a tough time for her, but I am so happy she has decided to move here. I am working on compiling a list of different resources for her to look into. So far I have http://www.expertsatellite.com/, a food co-op here in town, a doctor’s practice, etc. I’m trying to think of the main things she will need to get set up and organized for her new life here. She is a really smart, beautiful, funny woman, and I just know that she is going to one day find a partner who is her equal, and who treats her kindly. She really did the right thing by leaving her ex boyfriend. I know it is hard for her, though, as breakups are always a transition and take some getting used to. Once we get her all set up here, though, she will be fine.

 Me and Hubby did steamroom at the Bally's fitness, it was so nice and relaxing. Came home took and drove to Chatfield State park took ours three dogs for a walked. We walked the trail around the lake, our dogs got tired, we walked a lot.We paid the annual for $70. that we could go any on list for State parks, we plan to go as many we could and have some fishing too. Good deal instead of paying daily pass for $8.00, we plan to keep going there for this season. It was my first time going in even I leave close by, now that we paid our annual we could go very often and would like to go fishing, and maybe someday go camping. The weather was little bit nice not too hot and cold but little chilled. I'm excite to go back now since we could go back and forth with our annual pass now, even just to take dogs for a walk in the park.

Last Saturday we had  St. Patrick day party at the FACC (Filipino Club) and a membership general meeting. Good to see lot of members and new members with their family. Lots of food and of course the dancing was a blast. On our way home  my friend called asking where I was and reminding me about the poker game be held one of our friends house. It was luckily that when she called I was by the neighborhood. I forgot about it cause I was at the other party, so I drop hubby off to the house and went to the place where we going to play poker which not far from my house. I took my girl with me and we started to play around 9pm, their were two tables, one for all the girls and the other table were all the guys.Girls played Paris-paris (pair cards) We played until 2am, guzz it was long time to finish our game.Glad there were no school day for the kids. I was so tired the next day had to go back at the filipino club for our practicing dancing and singing.when I came back from the practicing I slept early and feel good today.Did a lot of house works...

I'm about 30 miles away from my Bff house and had plan the night before that I could hang out with her , that been a while we haven't do this. So I drove my car and went to her house to accompany her that she had an appointment to do eyebrow tattoo.The owner saw my hair that I need to trim my hair too so i did a new hair cut while she's going to do her eyebrow. We both had a new hair cut and had lunch at Thai's restaurant. We didn't really plan were we going to hang out so we plan to go casino instead, okay I agree, we went and got there about 4 pm and we both start played slot machine, no luck we walked around and try to play on the poker table. I do not know to play so I watched my friend play and the dealer told me if I'm ready to play get into it. I watched few round and told my freind to help me what she think for my cards. Geez, I learns fast, hahaha if gamble no matter what will learn quickly if you really wanted to :) We kept playing we stood all night at the casino, my friend's back and forth from the table to the machine but I was sitting on the chair played poker table all night. I had so much fun that i learn stood all night and I was doing really good but since we stood all night whine up i lost all the money I won from the poker table and lose some of my pocket money. We came home and I took a quick nap close my eyes so I can drive back home. I came home dig my tote bag and saw a remote didn't know what was in, and realized that her garage remote. I waited her to call me if she notice and let her slept, she called me at the afternoon I believe she notice when she was going out that her garage remote not there. I had a good time at the casino which I haven't been back for a long long time. I usually go with my husband or with my Bff, I go there very seldom only....

Yesterday I was gone all day due have some practices of nursing skills, after we done I stopped by at my friend's house to picked up the package sent from my family back home which she just came back from Philippines a few days ago. We have a good long conversation with her husband. My husband called wondering where I am and told me that his cooking spaghetti, I'm not a very special eater of spaghetti, so I left at friends house. I came home our dinner was ready. My husband cooked spaghetti, I thought I was going to ignore to eat my left over food with the rice, but the cooking of my husband looks so delicious so I tried ate and dig more ;),  it was so good and yummy!! he can be a good good if he wants to. Thanks honey for the wonderful dinner last night, it was so delicious...

Geez, from the month of December so many parties going on, can't refused the events except double days the same day events. Every day had an events. From the day started at Jho son's birthday party Dec. 3rd,meeting with friends and foods. The next day was Julieta's daughter birthday. Food never ended. On Saturday Dec.10th the Filipino Club had X'mas party of course with the Santa and picture taking.3 days later, Ate Delia invited had a X'mas party at her house,& had exchanging gift with a yummy food.Dec. 16th, the Filipino club had a surprised party for Father Mirto turns 70th and his retirement. It was fun. Mercy make us laughed and tears to cheer everyone that attended the events of Father Mirto and his moving to Texas. On The 17th of Dec. 2 events, but I only joined  Alma's son birthday party which I couldn't make into the Bayanihan party. Monday the 19th all the girls from the Thornton neighborhood had a lunch gathering at Elly's house . then on the 23rd so many people that I never meet at Niah's X'mas party it was many people, then the next day ate Delia want us to joined them dinner at Christmas eve whine up went to thornton Church to had midnight Mass with my daughter and we had celebrate my family open presents on christmas day and went to had lunch at Golden Corral.My last party attended after christmas day it was Ruth's house that we had exchanging gift and it was her son's birthday too. Gush! relieve, no parties within few days. Having on diet this monthe won't make it, too much food eating :) Finally, Christmas is over and exchanging is done, but 2 more days too go another eating habit and party to go. Tonite having a Rizal night at the Double tree Hotel which a formal dinner and ballroom... Then attending 2 events on New Year's Eve party... whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... I'm a Party woman :D Happy New Year EVERYONE!

Whoa! I'm a little bit sore for 2 days cleaning and cooking. A lots of left over from the dinner last night. My friend's hubby left yesterday went to visit his son in Vegas so I invite her to come, she said yes b4 the day. On Wednesday night I made Embutido and Macaroni salad so I have some Filipino dishes. She called me around 9am to ride with her to take her hubby to airport but that time, I'm busy preparing the Turkey and Ham to be in the Oven so I couldn't go and remind her if she still coming. but she said will see because she going to take a nap that she have to work midnight for the Black Friday at Macy. My cooking still continue, instead doing lunch we did for dinner so my oldest son can join with us, that he gets off from work. My Turkey and Ham been cooked. Waited for everyone together, finally John and my son came, plus my 2 kids, me and hubby. I made Stuffing, Corn in the Cob, Mashed potato with gravy,pumpkin bread, apple pie, rolls, turkey, ham, embutido and macaroni salad, wow, that's a lot of food. I'm thankful to our Lord for giving us a good health, wealth and happiness. Surviving for the Crises....Amen...

I spent forever researching Internet Providers but what I didn’t spend forever doing was talking to my kids about using the internet safely. I know it sounds silly but at the end of the day I worry that they won’t know what they’re doing when they’re approached by someone nefarious online and that scares me to death. They know they’re not allowed in chat rooms and stuff but when it comes to Facebook and MySpace and all those other sites there are very few ways to monitor them. I just worry that I’m not being a good mother by letting them spend so much time online but it’s hard – you can’t wait your kids 24 hours a day, you know? They’ve got cell phones, too, so it’s not like there aren’t other ways for them to get into trouble when it comes to technology. I think I just need to trust them to make good decisions and come to me if they ever run into some kind of problem they don’t know how to handle.

Yesterday was the first day opening at the Miller Farms. Ate Delia asked me if I wants to join with them to the farms. Which every year Ate Delia and her husband always there, it's their fifth year been there.So I talked with few friends which they are going too. So I decided to join with them since were in the groups rate. However, were leaving early and I live far from them, the Cole's family allowed me spending night so I don't have to drive so early which that was a very big help. I was making fun of Ate Delia that even though I only will get couples bags of the harvest will, find cause I wanted to take picture. Oh gush, I had so much fun to harvest with everyone who was on the tractor dropped us off and we can takes as many bags in harvest. We paid $12.00 each, monies that I paid for was so much worth it what I had bring home with onions, potato,corn,eggplant,chilis,tomato,cucumber,cabbage,spaghetti squah. many more but we missed out the carrots. Gush, one of my friend got 27 bags she took  her 2 kids. I had 18 bags with my daughter. Now i had so much onions,and potato that I am sharing my friends. It was my first time to see how to harvest and see how it grow and it was a huge farms. We are thinking going back again next month, this time I more prepare what to bring...Didn't have time to take picture while were harvest cause we have to be in hurry so the tractor driver won't leave us. We have so much fun and enjoyed our harvesting vegetables.Afterwards we put our veggie into the car and we bought our lunch and had picnic...

Yesterday morning I got up at 6:00am, like I do every day, and headed to the gym. When I got there, the manager had just gotten there to open the doors, and I realized that I had forgotten about the time change, so it was actually 5:00am, not 6:00am. I decided to stay and work out anyway, and I stood there with the manager as he deactivated the alarm system. That made me think, “I never thought about a gym being broken into.” It made me start thinking about the fact that I need to have an alarm system installed in our house. There have been a few break-ins in our neighborhood in the past year, and I want my family to feel safe. After my workout, I talked to the manager a while and he told me he found the security system for the gym at allhomeSecurity.com. I hadn’t thought about looking for a system online, but I think I’ll look into it today. After all, if a gym can be broken into, my house definitely could be too.

It’s nice being able to get online and look for houses in my spare time, although the process is really wearing on me. I’m kind of tired of looking for homes here and just wish I would find one already that really fit the bill. It all started last year when I got termites in my basement and it took weeks upon weeks to get them all contained. I was totally fed up with my old bungalow at that point but there was nothing I could do about it until I found a bigger place. All at once in the middle of all this going on my air conditioning decided it would be a great time to go out! It took nearly a week to get it fixed and I sweated my butt off in the meantime but my repair guy did tell me about www.texaselectricityproviders.com which helped save me some. It’s been nice thinking about moving but for now I’m stuck in this fixer upper until I can find something a little better!

I spent 2 nights and 3 days with my family and friends at the Blackhawk Casino. We left Sunday and stood at the Isle Capri, and moved to Ameristar Hotel on Sunday. We were at the Isle Capri when the fireworks started so we watched by the street were the Vallet parking.  Monday we checked out at 11am and put our baggage to the car and had lunch. After ate we played in the slot machine, but I was walking around and watched someone played Craps. I told them I don't know how to play. The dice dealer told me they have a free lesson, so I stood and learn and called my friend.Hubby wants to go home so I told hubby to go that I'm riding with my friend . We try to play and learned putting $60.00  myself, and $100.00 for my friend. We been playing for a long time for the money we had , we winning. It was our first time played the Craps game. My Friend Won $220.00 while me $90.00. Cool! Were so excited what we Won.... Now that we learn how to play, we would like to go back and play on our returns... We also had fun to watched and video the fireworks... 

I've been teaching my kids all kinds of green techniques for them to practice for life. They're really excited about recycling and even painted tote bags for me to use to carry all my groceries home in. So they were excited when I told him that we were going to go on a spring break trip where we're staying in a green hotel.

But I also told them that before I found an actual hotel like that, so I had to follow through on that promise. I spent a bit of time doing my research online and when I was doing that I came across the site http://www.ShopElectricityRatesTexas.com. I did eventually find a green hotel at the beach, so I booked a room for us for four nights there. I think that a week of just relaxation and having fun at the beach is exactly what the doctor prescribed for the Michaels family!

 My contract at the Gym was expired last December.Hubby just renew my son and my contract today. It's been 6 months I haven't went back to do my spa and steam room. I'm so excited to go to have relaxing my body, and might do little bit works out. My neck been bother me for 3 weeks now, and I made an appointment to see chiropractor on Wednesday, hoping today on my going to spa and steam will help of my aching, it probably getting old,hahaha. In a while about an hour later, hubby,my son and I are going today to the gym , for sure that will be my first stop to do my relax at the spa...
