Wouldn’t you love to be the person who first came up with the idea for Sesame Street? I am willing to bet that person is very wealthy right now. I don’t remember the first time I watched Sesame Street, but I do know that my four children grew up watching it. Way back then it was not that clear of a channel that we had to watch it on. I don’t even remember if we had cable television at that time. But now we have
directv and have wonderful service to watch Sesame Street. Of course, all my children are grown, but I now have my grandchildren to share this wonderful program with. Grandchildren are such a blessed addition to my life. I spent so much time raising my own children that I felt a great loss when they grew up, went to college, and got out on their own. I have heard it said that children, no matter how many you have, take all your time, all your money, all your love, and then they leave you. But then there is a little pot at the end of the child rearing rainbow when your children start having your grandchildren. They fill up the void the others left when you became an empty nester. And, they were certainly worth the wait.
